need help with my tl01!!!!

i stripped the spur gear in my tl01 and went to the hobby store and instead of buying the normal gear i decided to buy the high tuned gear set that replaces a couple more gears than just that, but when i ran my car i ran about 30 minutes and the spur gear wore down again, it was with a brand new pinion too if that matters but i dont really know wuts wrong anyone know?

Re: need help with my tl01!!!!

Your spur maybe binding or it might be so tight that when it needs to slip it doesn't and it chews the gear up.

Re: need help with my tl01!!!!

No. You are going to need proper mesh. Get a sheat of notebook paper and put it in between the spur and pionion. Push the motor to it is crimping the sheat of paper in even bumps. Then tighten the motor to it is nice and tight.

Is it fixed? because if your new pinon gear is a different size than stock, the engine needs to be mounted differently, thats what the different engine mounting screw holes are for.
