Mods for a 90 Celica GT

I just bought a 90 Celica GT and i love the car. It only has 85xxx on it and it runs like a dream. Its manual and i've never had so much fun driving a car. Can anyone tell me what the stats are on my car as is and what i could get out of it. Are there any cheap mods i can do to make it faster and get it looking good? It needs a spoiler! please help me out if you can.

well for cheap wise you can get a short throw shifter, about 150 bucks. weapon R makes an cold air intake system for aobut 150 bucks also, most other stuff will run higher prices like turbo kits, stickier tires, exhaust system, bore it out and put on metal head gasket (not nessary when boring out but its alot stronger than the standard paper ones. and if you dont like the 5sfe you can do the 3sgte swap which is expensive, so either way you go turbo'ing your 5sfe or getting the 3sgte you'll be in about the same place as far as cost goes.

Short shifters are awesome. That was the first mod I made to my car. It doesn't do anything as far as performance, but it makes the car a lot more fun to drive and you can shift a lot quicker. You don't need a new clutch to do it, though. IMO wait until you've done more performance upgrades and you really need a new clutch to handle the power before you swap it out.

Cool

Definitely go for the short shifter, I just got one for the 94 corolla that actually fits the celica-$10. CAI's are rare, I would check ebay. If you want one hella sweet mod check tiecc.net for vertical doors. If you do tell them Jeremiah told you about them If nothing else you can see some sweet modded celicas on there. Also ebay has those clear corner lights and bumper lights, I put them on my car and they look great. Good luck with you car.
