Blue?? Black??? Oh man...

Hey guys,
I've been building a pro-touring/sleeper type of Camaro for a while. It has quite a bit of stock looking parts and stuff on it etc. It's been comming along great.

I've finally come down to the two colors that I want for a two tone paint job. I'm going to use gloss black, and a true blue candy pearl. Now I just don't know if I want the blue on the top half, or the black. Help me out guys.

well, every body puts the black on the top.
plus the candy will get more light on the top.

Re: Blue?? Black??? Oh man...

hmmmm... what's your definition of the "top"? is it like... just the "canopy"? or starting just above the fenders?

if it's a sleeper, i'm not too sure about a 2tone paint job... looks like whoever "drives" it puts some money into it... best sleepers are stock colors...

if you're just painting the canopy, i'd say go for the black on top, that would be close to stock...

Re: Blue?? Black??? Oh man...

It's going to be like right above the fenders.

I know, it isn't exactly a sleeper, but I don't want a total sleeper, but I don't want a total pro-touring car either. Just a little bit of both and a little bit of what I like.

I think the darker color looks best on top in many cases.

Re: Blue?? Black??? Oh man...

It's in CSC right now getting stripped. I'm restoring the car cause I built it when I was about 8 and it looks horrible.
Here's just a pic of a Yenko off google.

I'm sure that wouldn't be a bad pic to photoshop.

Re: Blue?? Black??? Oh man...

I already bought the paint when I went to the big city about a week ago. Thanks for that site though. I think I might use that in the future.

Re: Blue?? Black??? Oh man...

I've decided to go with the black on the top cause that didn't get as many votes as the blue on the top. And I was sort of leaning towards that myself. Thanks for all your helps guys.
