engine loping

I have a 1997 Ford ranger 4 cylinder, standard 5 speed. Engine will start but lopes or revs up and down. When the engine warms up it will idle but when you step on the gas it lopes again. Fuel pressure is up, changed the fuel filter, changed the spark pulg wires and problem persists.

Re: engine loping

You may want to put in a new "map sensor".
