98 corolla CE power door locks doesn't work on passenger door, and rear drivers side door. Any help on a do it yourself fix would be appreciated.

Theres an open in the circuit. YOu might need to examine the switches and wiring to the switches. Also, did the switches get wet?

Re: 98 power locks problems
When i try to lock the doors using the power lock button. I can see that the doors that don't work are trying to lock or unlock but i guess there may be not enough force for them to lock and unlock completely. (meaning there is electricity going through. there may be something wrong w/ the lock/unlock mechanisms.)

I have the same problem but on a 94 Camry. Passenger and LR back door locks will not operate. The lock switches wiggle when you try to lock them from the drivers side. I was thinking of pulling the door panal and seeing a good cleaning and lubrication would help. I'll keep a eye on this thread to see what ideas are passed along.

Re: 98 power locks problems
let me know how that turns out GSS123. If it works for you i'll do the same...it makes sense that overtime they just got dirty and the lubrication wore off. Also on the subject I used to own another 98 corolla LE and on that car the rear left door locks didn't work but that was only after i had locked myself out and the locksmith used a slim jim on that door (it did still wiggle also).
