Yamaha YZF-R1 Taira Racing

Still haven't finished the R32, but here I am with a new project. (for the first time I will have 2 projects going at the same time....)
It's the Tamiya 1/12 Yamaha YZF-R1 Taira Racing. I chose this one because it's the less seen here on AF. Everyone else has done the "normal" R1 and this is just my way of being different
It will be box stock (there goes the originality, eheheh) with just a few minor details added, like the battery cables and stuff. It's my first croch-rocket, but I must say that it's been a lot of fun building it! So much detail...
Anyway, here are the pics. Now that I have access to a digicam, I will try to post progress pics more often.
Any criticism is welcome, good or bad! Thanks for viewing.

-Pedro-

How are doing the plumbing for the brakes/master cylinder?
Is hose provided by the kit?

Are motorcycles harder to build than cars? It looks more complicated even if there are less pieces..

Yes, the kit comes with hoses in 2 diameters, thought I think those are too big. I might replace them with some smaller wire.

Well, it is my first bike, but I must say that I'm having a lot of fun. It's not harder nor easier, just different. I guess in some cases (parts), it could get easier just because of the larger scale, you can handle the parts a lot better

Now, I don't have any more progress pics yet, but I've had some trouble with the rear mudgard kevlar decal. It come in 3 pieces, but it just doesn't cover everything..
I guess nobody has a spare 2" x 2" spare kevlar decal that could send me..., so I must order some from SMS..ehehe

Next weekend I'll post new pics!

Here's some more pics. Haven't had much time to make any "real" progress, but I've managed to decal the main parts and start some detail work on the brake rotors (drilling). Still have to clear coat the whole thing, but I'm really afraid the clear will eat through the decals. Any suggestions?
