Aem V2

Just installed an AEM V2 on my teg (ls, in case you havent seen the name)

and at the same throttle position i hear a squeak. not sure quite what it is. it seems to be coming from near the filter. it is mounted properly and securely. i thought something may be shifting. anybody else installed a V2 with this problem?

nope. but i don't have a v2. try to see where its coming from, get a friend to help you out. its more than likely something is loose or just rubbing. like from the vibration the engine is giving.

just wondering how the V2 performs, i have a non gsr. Thinking about getting V2. How's the sound and power, is it worth it?

Also the noise could just be air noise, since the air is more free flowing now.

If it's not that loud, i wouldn't worry about it.

Re: Aem V2

Integrasedan, from what I've read, the v2 only makes like 2 more hp than the regular aem. Apperantlly, it's also very loud.

98tegls: try reving it in neutral with the hood open and a friend standing there trying to figure out where the sound is coming from. It might not even be the intake.

My honda may have less displacement than your coke bottle, but I'll race your coke bottle for $1000. Who says there's no replacement for displacement?

mine is really loud when i punch it. sounds really good. i also have this humming sound coming from mine when im at idle. not a squek though. it even did it on my old 1.8L. can't figure out what is actually making the sound. its just coming from the inlet on the intake. hmm

Re: Aem V2

Is it a whistle noise? If so it's very normal.
