Machine shops?
I hear lots of people talking about taking parts to their machine shop and have it board. Will any old machine shop lets say perhaps bore out a block or throttle body? Anything that I should know?

i wouldnt go to just any dhop be sure you know they do good work because its not worth having it done unless its done right

There is a difference between boring and porting. Boring is what you do to a cylinder wall when you rebuilt, and porting is machining out material to increase flow. People port a few things like heads, throttle bodies, exhaust manifolds, turbos, o2 sensor housings, etc...
