Prelude would win on the track. The 1/4, if you can even call driving in a line for a few seconds without change a race or a test of a cars abilities, I don't know.

Re: PRELUDE TYPE SH vs.TIBURON GT

You need to post torque numbers as well as horsepower numbers, those are important. Anyways, the Prelude Type SH should win anywhere without too much trouble.

wow.. 2.7 liter V6 for 175 horses... that was kinda like the honda accord back in 96.. when u think of it.. honda will win.. i mean when u match a celica vs a tiburon its a drivers race.. but a prelude/type r integra/ rsx type s the hondas all win.. not even a challenge

Re: PRELUDE TYPE SH vs.TIBURON GT

Actually no. The tiburon will beat the SH in the 1/4 mile. Seen it like 5 times at the races, my girl drives a tib (stock) and she walked a silver SH twice and she walked a 93 prelud with a k20 motor twice. Them I raced a blue prelude SH in her car for 5 dollars and I took him by at least 1 1/2 cars. keep in mind this was only 1/4 mile and I know that she would get stomped on the twistys. the magizines say the tib is a low 15's car. Like 15.3-15.1.

Re: PRELUDE TYPE SH vs.TIBURON GT

Maybe the ones you seen weren't stock for stock. I'm telling you, she has the V6-6speed stock and she can take em, i took one in her car, even the mags say it can take em. But I think it has the potential to be a drivers race. Hell we even drove test drove an SH because she's getting rid of her Tiburon because it was a lemon (waiting on lemon law papers to go through) and it clearly didn't feel and fast or torquey as the tib. Just go look and the stock for stock 1/4 mile times and you guys will see the Tiburon can and does that the prelude SH. Now the 94 Prelude Vtec................... tib will be owned

and everyone needs to know...just because it is a Type SH and what not...that doesn't mean it is the fastest stock prelude

I don't know but he seemed proud about it, After she beat him, I asked him if he had an h22 and he said "Hell no, I got a k20." The he got out and showed me. I thought to myself "Why in the hell would anyone do that?"

Car-Stats.com
Report for 1995 Honda Prelude VTEC
0-60: 6.7
1/4 Mile: 15.1

Fastest stock prelude, H22Vtec motor will do low 15's-high 14's

This will beat the tib but the SH will not, SH stands for a handling package added to a normal prelude. Thats why it will own lots around the twistys, but not in a quarter mile.
