dash removal

ok i have 99 grand prix gt. how do u remove the big dash panel... u know like to get the cd player and stuff. im gettin a new hu soon and paintin the dash and i wanna know how to pop the dash off. thanks... is there screws or clips or something? thanks

Yes the large front piece is simply held in by snap clips. You remove it by grabbing at a meaty section of it and slowly but firmly yanking towards you with equal force until one of the clips pops out. You then go around the piece popping the next clip so on and so on until it all becomes loose. You may have to move the steering wheel up or down to get the piece off too. Do it slowly so you wont break anything.

You'll also need to disconnect the fog light switch.

And when you put the kit in, use the flat one cuz the round one looks stupid (look at mine) I had the flat one but I drilled a hole in the wrong place and I'm too cheap to buy the kit again so I have the lame round one in there...
