Question A nissan Maxima Or sommething else?? Need reply quick

Hi everybody. i Just looked at a used nissan maxima and i really want to buy it. it costs 8,795 and has 76000. my friend is telling me though that it's a bad idea to spend that much money on a car that is of that year and has those miles. does anyobody have any suggestions. the ad for the car is right here:
http://www.cars.com/search/used/cc/s...&src=&cid=null
and also what is a good car to buy under 9k. gotta be an import though and not some cheap crap like hyundai or kia.
Thanks. everyone.

a z probably wouldn't be an option. im 17 so the insurance will be a killer. i'm pretty much looking for a 4 door only.

thats in american dollars rite? so in cdn it would b 11 800. but 76000miles is 122 km. And in autotrader.ca a regular price for that kind of maxima wit 76000miles(122km) in canada would b 9,900 canadian . Dude your gettin a bit jipped, find a cheaper one! or one wit less milage.
