advice on tire size please!!!

grant already gave his opinion and i am looking for at least one more expert opinion...
i have a 1993 sc 400 lexus and bought chrome 18" X 7.5" rims(really nice)...grant urged me to use 225/45/18 rather than 225/40/18 due to potential overloading on the tire...what do others think???

i do not believe the 7.5" can take anything wider than 225's...

your help would be greatly appreciated!!!

I agree with Grant 100%!!

And, yes, a 225 is the maximum you can use on that rim.

Hope this helps.

VERY HELPFUL THANK YOU
I AM GOING OUT TO BUY TIRES TODAY
225/40/18 seem a little less expensive and there is more of a selection
225/45/18 seem harder to come buy and will be at least $100 more a set
looks like i will go with the 45 ratio unless others say otherwise!!!
