would aftermarket mufflers help or hinder perfomance????
would aftermarket mufflers help or hinder perfomance in my 1991 300zx????
What muffler would u guys recommend me get if i got mufflers??? I just want something that looks and sounds good until i can get my cat back system.

anything that increases flow capacity and ability -to a point- helps performance... sorry, not familiar with ZedX parts yet..

That's basically true. There are TONS of options...universal mufflers, misc name brands, etc...I couldn't possibly name them all. Check out www.stillen.com or www.jimwolftechnology.com to start you off.

If you are going to do mufflers, do the whole exhaust. It will save money and get you the full system quicker. No sense doing mods your going to take off. There are plenty of pretty cheap cat-backs for the Z32 and Z31 that offer a reasonable power gain for the money and don't even make your car sound like ass as a bonus. As for what to get, just make sure it has dual tips. Z32s look bad ass with dual tips. Anything else kind of looks like a pair of shiny logs jammed in its ass. If you can afford it, the Borla system is badass. Thats what I got, I'll have to get that scanner working.
Best thing about the TT is that its quiet as hell even with damn near straight pipes on it

the owner before me put aftermarket mufflers on my car. i don't know anything about them, all i know is they have a deep sound that sounds so awesome. like other people have said, anything that makes your exhuast flow better will help your performance. but don't get it to flow to easy, you want some back pressure.
