love vs 'in love'
lets hear it... what's the difference between the two. c'mon folks... you've used this line more than once to break up with a guy/girl... what's the difference in the two? or is it just a way of confusing the other so that you can make a quick getaway?

Re: love vs 'in love'
^Simply put but to try and and discuss it.
It's a simple thought that you can decide and that more than likely others will see first. (I know I've wrote about this b4) Anyhow, love is just love, simple, like that towards a friend and the stronger could be that of family. IN love is a relationship, obviously, and the difference is that after several months (for those really special people days or weeks ) and just talking to the person is something magical. I wrote something better than that where ever it is and I'll post it if I can find it...

Re: love vs 'in love'
IMO
being in love is having to sacrifice yourself for the other person with the end result being that you both end up happy. love is when you care about someone but wouldn't make the same sacrifices. i think the word is something that each individule needs to determine what it means to them. i dont think it's something society can determine a definition for and simply say "this is what it means", now live by it. i hope i'm making sense, cuz i'm tired! lol

Re: love vs 'in love'
love is liking a food..
in love is very hard to explain. This kind of love(if true) changes so much thru time you find so many more ways to be in love with the person you forget why you are staring at his/her face with a big smile. tired, hope it makes some sense

Love = doing what you know you should do (in this case towards people) even if it costs you your own desires and wants
ex: I treat you the way I want to be treated even if you don't treat me the same way. my

Re: love vs 'in love'
Each will have their own definition just what the two mean.
In love v.s love How about trying explain hate v.s hatred? The standards for In love v.s love will be on another level if marriage or children are involved. in love comes with experience, giving when not recieving, Ect. Love= could be just lust, fasination, dependecy, being nieve, ect. Too many reasons, too many definitions, too many variables, and too many opinions. |

nah... i just wanted to hear what you folks thought of the subject. i got into a heated discussion that there is no difference between the two so i decided to get some different perspectives.
my take... love is simply that... strong feelings of emotion towards another; not necessarily of lust nor desire. being in love... there's really nothing that i can really say... the simply acts of kindness that we do for another... like feeding someone while they're driving without having them to ask, the random kisses you give them, the sacrafices that you make for their happiness, and the way it hurts when they're not around. as for me being a youngun'... i always found it odd that some in society would find it adolescent to talk about their feelings esp. those of love and regret. therein lies the stigma of seeking professional help from psychotherapists and those in the field of psychiatry. thanks for the resonses! if nothing else, it was very interesting to see the many perspectives on this topic. a |

There seems to be many types and variations of luv.
How about: What is the ultimate sign or example of showing luv? |

In Love= The tingly can't be without you feelings you get when you find someone who is really right for you.
Love= The reason you stay. Love is seeing all the bad and loving the person anyways! As I always tell my DH love is waking up with my morning breath and kinky weird ass hair standing up everywhere, every morning, and knowing youd rather be there than anywhere else! I generally have a view much diferent than others... I belive "in love" fades, but Love (true love) is forever! |

.
. In love is a feeling within a relationship. A feeling of belonging. A mutual trust. Even extends into family and friends. To love (truly) is to give of oneself when the giving is unwarranted or unearned and not ever pondering the unwarranted/unearned aspect. A famous quote: "If a person gives you his time, he can give you no more precious gift." ~ Frank Tyger .
