'92 A/C Control Module ?

My 1992 gmc sierra blinks the A/C on indicator sometimes and the A/C stops working. I can remove the battery terminal and replace it and the A/C will work very well for awhile. When I first start the truck and the A/C on indicator starts flashing, the A/C will not work again. I suspected the low pressure switch or low on freon but when reset it will work fine for awhile.
