static while exccelerating

MY 2000 jimmy is making this static noise when i exccelerate,with or without the radio on,seems the faster i go the louder the static gets.can anyone help plz..

unplug your alternator go for a quick spin or rev it up.If the noise is gone my guess would be it. on the older alternators it usually was there.
