No Power

Dealers are dumbfounded, can't find my problem. Got a '96 300ZX automatic. From a standing position, there is a major hesitation when trying to accelerate. It's even worse if the A/C is on. I would expect this slow acceleration if I was pulling a huge trailer home but I'm not! Got new coils, new fuel injectors so that's not it. Car does have high mileage (275,000) but is in great running shape otherwise. Does anybody have any insight to this? Thanks

Re: No Power

No power meaning electrical or horse? You said hesitation, so I assume horse? If that's the case, it's not the alternator. Check the MAF sensor, everything ignition, fuel...everything. My old 300ZX did something similar but was aleviated when I got new ignition wires. With that many miles (did they go in big NC-IL-NV-TX circles for the past 8 yrs?!...what the hell?!), it's about time for a rebuild anyway...ship it to SGP and make a new car of it for ~7 large...that would take care of all your probs and save you some headaches.

Re: No Power

i agree with llz. ship it to sgp and have them do a whole engine rebuild. and maybe you could have them do a 5 speed swap
