Unhappy blitz high speed air filter

i bought a Blitz SUS Power Air Cleaner (Core-type) and the converter so that it would fit on my pipes. well, i tried putting it on, but once i remove my current air box the map sensor no longer has air running through it -- my car wont start unless there is air passing through the sensor. i dont know if there is any way to make this filter work, it was $115 and if anyone knows any way to make it work, please let me know. if not, i might just buy a K & N filter to fit in my current air box

thanks for the tips -

Are you taking the MAP sensor off too?? or is it still connected?? I dont' get what you're saying. there shouldn't be any reason why air wouldn't flow any less over the sensor with the new filter.

I'm guessing you mean MAF (the one that goes in the intake tube)? Are you trying to put the filter on the end of a tube and stick it onto your throttle body? Put the sensor in between the filter and tube. Actually just put the sensor in between the filter and whatever you're sticking the filter on to
