help

what engines came with the atts, because if im not mistaken i cannot put the h22 from the 5th gen, if they have atts. can i put the base model prelude engines in a 4th gen. i know their would be for wiring for OBD2 but besides that. engine codes r very helpful.

Re: help

you are correct. it's the h22a4 to be precise. the 4th gen vtecs are the h22a1 unless your, 4th is the non-vtec model, i'm not sure why you would swap the 5th gen into the 4th. if you're talkin about swapping in the SH engine, you'll need to swap in the SH tranny and ecu as well. not to mention axles and suspension. not worth it in my opinion.

so i can swap the base motor in with only teh extra wiring to accomodate emissions?

i do own a non-vtec lude, i am very indesicise and cannot decide between rebuilding the h23 with 141000 miles on it or swapping in its vtec brother.

Re: help

Yes, the base 5th gen H22A will work in a 4th gen. But since you are already buying an engine, why not look for a JDM H22A?
