what do you mean "fully not unlatch"? you mean you push the trunk switch, and the trunk won't open?

You mean you unlock it with the keyhole in the back and you can't pull it open afterwards?

Whenever I press the trunk button on the driver door, I can hear the trunk "click" as if it has unlocked, but it doesn't. After I press the release button the trunk will only halfway unlock. It will be loose, not totally latched (will move), but not totally unlocked (still won't open) I have to end up using the key. Its' sorta like when you pop your hood -- it's loose, but won't open.

You have the g20t, so you prolly got that heavy ass spoiler on it. Well, after a while, those lift supports that help open the trunk go bad. so maybe thats it. soy ou push the trunk button, but the lift supports aren't strong enough to lift the incredibaly heavy trunk enough so that the latch can fully "unlock".

This is very true,

I encountered the same problem, your trunk clicking is a good sign.
A small spring will remedy the problem(AutoLock door springs)
But there might be a better solution..?

I don't have a spoiler yet, but it's quite possible the lift supports are bad .. thanks for the info :sun:

It could also be the lifts on each side of the trunk. When their worn your trunk hood does not spring up like it should and that puts added pressure on the selenoid latch. It could be both. I replaced the lifts.
