Am I the only one who has LOADS of brake problms with my MX3? Because this weekend is going to be the third time I have to replace my pads in 8 months. Lately Ive notice my brakes stay engaged for long periods of time, even while Im not on the brakes, they're speaking meaning that something is rubbing. I've alread had to replace the calipers in the back and my handbrake is %#$^&! too.

it maybe your master cylinder... for your footbrake, also if you don't have ABS like I do, when you lock up your wheels it takes a little bit (1-3 seconds) for the wheel to quit skiding, so it regains all the inertia it lost. and if your Handbrake will not work properly you might want to check the cable length, and integrity.

Hi mx3man. I have also had my brakes locking up on me. Just today I had to replace my f/pads. Upon inspection I found one of the disc rotor retaining clamp bolts had broken off. This allowed the caliper piston to move out off square causing it to stick in the cylinder which would not allow it to retract evenly which caused the brakes to stay on longer than normal. This was the cause of my problem but it may not be yours. You may try and see if your bolts are loose or even broken off. The bolts I am talking about have a 17mm/11/16" or bigger hex head and not the 13mm/1/2" hex head bolts that bolt the caliper to the spindle housing. Hope this will help. Hope you post results..
