Parking lot solicitors

Does it annoy you when you go out to your car and find advertising crap left under your windshield wiper? It makes me mad that people just come up and touch your car, then you look at their ad or flier and its worthless crap anyways.

I also get annoyed by people who wander parking lots and try to sell you candy or magazines as you are trying to get out of the car....especially at night, and I certainly don't trust someone trying to make a sale at 10:00 at nite. One night some guy came up to me and was trying to sell "Blue Ribbon Steaks" or something like that. I told him NO and he said I could come over to his truck and he would show me the stuff. I told him, "here let me show you my .357..." and started reaching between the front seats.....he took off so fast

It was my summer job a few summers ago. It's fun cuz once you get rid of all your fliers, you're done, and you still get paid. But it kinda sucked because sometimes I would be puttin them in winshields just as the owner got back tot he car, and they'd always get pissed.

I don't really mind as long as they don't scratch the car or something.

This thread had me stumped for a while..........In N.Z.English solicitors usually means one of two things......

1...Lawyers
or
2...Hookers

Anybody stuffs junk mail under my wipers and is silly enough to put a phone number on it gets a call from'nightshift' at 3 a. m.

Well If anything touches my car the alarm gives them a warning and if touched again, there is a sharp screech and deafening sound, so they tend to avoid my car

I hate it when they stick them on your car on a rainy day and when you get back to your car they are stuck to the windscreen.

solution: Ask around the shops to see if they saw who did it and where their car is parked and completely cover their car in the bloody things.

I usually don't have this problem since I park far away from other cars wherever I go. But, the rare times it has happened pisses me off

Same here. My car doesnt even look that great anymore, but I still dont take the chance on it getting dented by someone hitting it with a door or something.

btw LX98Civic, its nice to see a new face posting in our humble OT forums. Its great to get a fresh bunch of ideas in here. Im guessing you usuially reside in the PH forums? Were glad to have ya here!

I feel as giddy as a schoolgirl with all these new threads starting up (ok, i admit that sounded dumb).
