how to install short shifter?

i read the thread in the how to, and i am still kind of lost, where is everything and such? and how do i install the shifter?

Remove the knob and boot........Remove the bolts 10 or 12 mm then shifter and reverse to install.........good grief it's only a 10 minute job.

hmm, that site makes it look hard, hmm i wonder how much it would be to rent a lift from like advance or some other place?? because i aint got 4 jackstands, i could aquire them, but yeah the whole no knowing anything gets in the way

Just use your tirejack and slide under it.. Your car isn't lowered so if the very, very rare chance of the car falling happens it still won't hurt you. Look for the shifter underneath the car, above your exhaust piping, undo the two little nuts, take it apart, and put it all back together with the new one. It's really not that hard, you can figure it out if you just dig into it yourself a little.
