Can I use my DPFI Injection system on a D16a6 head?

Hi folks. My D15b2 is about worn out. I recently ran cross of really good deal on a rebuilt D16a6 head. Can I use my DPFI setup on the D16a6 head and bolt everything up to the D15B2 block? In simpler terms, can I just swap the D15b2 head with the D16a6 and keep using the DPFI until I save up enough money for the MPFI Conversion?

Next question, will I need a D16a6 Distributor or can I continue to use my D15B2 one? Will I need to buy a D16a6 timing belt? Will the PM5 work with this head? Will a D15b2 head gaket set work? I'm soo confused!!!

Troy

replace your stock head with the d16a6 head and use *ALL* your other stuff. timing belt, distributor ETC, from the d15b2. it will botl right on with zero problems. the head is basically identical with a different cam.

It's good to know that everything will bolt right up. This will give me some time to save up enough money to do the MPFI swap. Eventually I may do a motor swap but, if I don't keep this one running in the mean time, I'll be walking....

do you plan on putting rings and rod bearings in while you have head off? because if not then youll still have a wonr out engine just with a new head.

Good question on the rod bearings and rings. I guess that would be a good idea to do. Is this an expensive undertaking?
