How to reset oil service light 318i 1991
I changed the oil in my 318i and the oil service indictor light came on.
How do I reset it? I have one of those after market reset tool (FT-Resetting-Service-Switch) but can not locate the vehicle diagnostic socket; help anyone. Thank you for any help.

maybe you didn't fill it up all the way? has it happened before? maybe there's another problem?
If none of the above apply, i'd go to the dealer and order the wiring diagrams and the manual for it, and maybe another repair manual as well (if you don't already have those). And if you're sure there's nothing wrong, jus ignore the light till you get the books : P
