catalytic converter question..

does cutting off the catalytic converter do anything other than make your car not emissions legal and louder? because when mine went bad i just had it cut off, Michigan doesnt have emissions testing

Re: catalytic converter question..

Gutting the cat is gay and makes a dumb hollow sound and often leaves chunks inside the pipe. Just replace it with a straight pipe or buy a nice highflow cat.

Re: catalytic converter question..

you're gay. naw im joking. actually it works pretty much like a resonator so my car sounds like v-8 (so everyone tells me), and if you correctly guy your cat you wont get the chunks...

Re: catalytic converter question..

lol, i personally think you should run with a high flow aftermarket cat, just cuz taking it all the way off dosnt give you much more power, and can actually loose you low end torque, and your emissions are higher which is bad for the planet. so eh. i say run em
