New Rodeo owner!! Need help please!!!
Hey everyone, I am...errr..was the proud new owner of a 1995.5 Isuzu Rodeo! It has the 3.2L V6. I recently purchased it in Boston then drove it 2300 miles back home to Colorado. The thing ran perfect until about 2 days ago.
It seems like it's missing. It stumbles really bad......but only when driving or when the engine has a load on it. The thing slightly misses at idle but the missing gets amplified about 10X when driving. I'm going to put some new plugs in the beast tonight. Any ideas of what it could be? Maybe the PCV valve, or the EGR? could these things happen somewhat suddenly? Any help is greatly appreciated! Thansk Daniel |

Before you get into replacing the fuel injectors, I would try replacing the fuel filter first...its a lot cheaper, and easier, and may solve the problem.
Just make sure that if you're going to do anything that you relieve the pressure in the fuel lines. At least I think on these things you need to do that...someone more experienced can tell you.....but what I do is first remove the gas cap to relieve pressure, then remove the fuel pump relay and try to crank the engine for a few seconds..stop, and try to crank a few more times. After that it should be ok. If your 95 is anything like my 94 (not sure if they changed the design any between years), the fuel filter is underneath the passenger side of the car near the rear wheel well....just follow the fuel line from the gas tank and you should see it. There are little gas line clamps you can get to help minimize fuel spillage when you remove the old filter. Now about the injectors...if yours is like mine (again, I'm not sure if it is) you will have to remove the air intake plenum and throttle body and the fuel rail to get to the injectors. If I were you, I'd just give the vehicle a tune up for good measure. |

I have the same vehicle and mine started acting up as you are describing. I pulled the plugs and they looked fine but When I changed them the problem went away. A couple of weeks later same thing started happening again. Changed the wires and everything has been ok for 6 months
