curious...but how much would a supercharger from a junkyard cost? and could it be put on an engine w/o one already? if gotten from the junkyard...would everything needed to hook it up come with it?

don't mean to steal a thread, but it's on the same topic.

Not without changeing alot of other "stuff" in your engine....Its easier to do a L67 swap...

Re: Need used supercharger for 97 GTP

www.clubgp.com classified section Ed Morad has cmplete blowers. I think he usually gets $250 plus for complete blowers.

You need more then just a blower to make a GT(l36) into a GTP ( l67). Lower intake/blower/tb/heads/pcm/injectors/fuel rails/ etc etc

China, what is wrong w/ your 97's blower??

There's one on Ebay right now. Should be able to get it cheap.

Re: Need used supercharger for 97 GTP

Doubt the blower is whats causing the "surging" at idle.

Take the belt off and see how much play is in the pulley. Might be a bad coupler. Easy fix and no need for a new supercharger.

How bout misfires. My 98 misfired at idle when stock. As soon as I gave it gas the misfires went away. Mechanic said that he'd seen that on GM cars before.
