Homemade Tazer!

So I was watching my favorite show on TechTV last nite called "Unscrewed" and that dude "The Dark Tipper" show how to make a Tazer gun by taking apart a disposable camera and attaching it to a glove! It actually looked pretty easy so I'm thinking of giving it a shot this weekend. I also thought his other gizmo was awesome. The ones where he modified the shoes so that they always produced a constant source of static electricity. Man with those two toys you could be like a super hero!

Re: Homemade Tazer!

Sounds about right. A fuckload of current goes through a camera flash.

Not to be a dick, but its not current that goes through a flash, its actually voltage. But its something upwards of over 1000 volts for some cameras. I had a camera taken apart one day, and the capaciter for the flash was sitting on the desk, and I didnt think that it was still charged. My 5 year old come out and grabs it. Zapped the living shit out of her. It was funny, useful, and horrible at the same time. Funny because of the noise she made while being zapped; useful, because now she doesnt touch a damn thing on my desk; and horrible because I laughed so much.

Now, shes in therapy, and expected to be okay..........
