Re: will these work?

93 is the only year LT1 F-body with a removable prom chip , every other year LT1 and later LS1 will have to be programmed . So no chip will work

Re: Re: will these work?

JET sells a piggy back chip that plugs in between your computer and the harness. Depending on what you do I recommend getting a hypertech programmer... You can do a lot of things with them... Change your rev limiter, top speed limiter, change what temp you cooling fans come on, if you swap gears you can recalibrate your speedo to the gears, and you can change your shift points on a auto. Although the later hypertech programmers are getting hard to find, you may have to buy one on ebay... I did but mine was factory sealed. If you go to buy one make sure the car it was used on was set back to stock or you can't program you car.

Re: will these work?

yeah i got the jet chip thing on my 94 and it worked wonders, but the programmer would be soooo much nicer to be able to use. go with the programmer...

anyone ever hear of the Fastchip? I've heard good things from people who use em and they have some kind of test on their website showing that it beat out most other chips including the hypertech and jet stuff.

Re: will these work?

will both the hypertech chip and jet chip work at the same time? and on the jet chip there is one for the crown victoria you think that will work on my towncar, there both basically the same computers right?

Re: will these work?

the jet chip intercepts values coming in and going out of the ecu and sends different ones that improve operations. the hypertech changes the actual values stored in the ecu. my thinking is that it would be pointless to use both in conjunction...
