2GNT vs. '93 NSX (kinda long)

Okay on 6/23/2004 me and my buddy Mike were coming home from school at like 10:00 PM and we we sitting at this stoplight when an NSX pulls up next to us. The driver starts yelling, screaming, and talking all this s*** trying to run me, and how much better his NSX is than my Eclipse (Which while slo, looks bitchin) but I figure THIS IS AN NSX, IM GONNA LOOK LIKE AN ASS IF I RACE HIM!!! So he launches, but then I saw something, he couldn't drive the car! He nearly popped the clutch on his launch! So i keep cruising and then like a mile up the road we're sitting there and same thing. So I figured what the f*** why not, WHEN I lose its to an NSX, Im driving an Eclipse with MAYBE 170HP against an NSX for God's sake. So we're at the light and BOOM we go, and he does the same thing. He miss shifted first, grinded second, then goes from 2nd to 5th (only way to explain massive power loss)! Seeing this behind me I dropped a gear "smashed" the pedal and beat him straight UP!!! (I know this is like a once in a lifetime win, because I'm realistic...my Eclipse is heavy and slow. His NSX is light and Fast).

Well, it would have to be a N/T if it uses Headers......I'm not saying my car is better, in fact his is SO many leagues ahead of mine, all i'm doing is telling about a fluke, caused by a horrible driver

It was like a greyish-brownish color, with an aftermarket front bumper that was still primered.

Re: 2GNT vs. '93 NSX (kinda long)

Hey, take what you can get

A few years back I nearly had a NSX. He was a better driver than the one you ran into apparently. On stock turbo still, and I had the car full with half of my belongings as I was moving at the time. I kept up well enough though, enough for him to go out of his way to tell me so. Nice guy. They seem to run low 13s in the hands of the average driver, or at least I assume so from the number low 13 second NSXs I have seen run at the track. I was at the 13.7 mark then I believe, but low 14s on pump gas. The thing that struck me the most was the way that car sounded. Pretty badass IMO...

Re: 2GNT vs. '93 NSX (kinda long)

lil off topic, some guy in my building drives a RS-4 audi. apparently they're suppose to be equipped with 395whp and twin turbo V8. he said his 1/4 is about low 12s but i serously think he should do better at least high 11s. anyone?
