Reindexing Timing belt

had a new timing belt installed on my 21 Civic Si back in Feb. Noticed the acceleration was off but kept driving. Now my mechanic says the timing belt is off 180 degrees and needs to be reindexed. Problem is, does anyone think I may have done damage to the engine--pistons, valves, etc.

Asking so I know just what kind of finacial damage to expect to my bank account.

Z

Re: Reindexing Timing belt

It shouldn't cause any damage to your bank account. If the timing belt is not in the correct position, then it was installed incorrectly. Done correct, the timing belt will not move from where it was originally installed, meaning your mechanic messed it up. I would make him fix it for free, or take his ass to court.
