these 2 b16's.. different?

im not undstanding what the $400 price difference is. both have 170 and 113 and 10.4 compression and obd1. only difference i see is the hydro on one and cable on the other. why is one $400 more?

also, the valve cover deal. how does it work if vtec is bigger dohc or dohc is bigger then vtec?

Re: these 2 b16's.. different?

the b16a has 160 hp and 111 tq the(obd0) the b16a1 has 170 and 113(obd1) the a1 also has higher compression and more agressive intake cam which makes for more horsepower other than that thats it and also he obd0 the vtec is smaller then the dohc on the valve cover and on the a1 the vtec is bigger than the dohc just one little difference

Re: these 2 b16's.. different?

Probably just cheaper because of the cable vs hydro trannies. A buddy of mine bought the Xsi one from Osaka, but it came with a hydro tranny (and a ton of misisng and broken parts but that's another story). But the thing rips just like the Sir motor. So i'd assume it's jsut the tranny type and it only being 92 and 93 as apposed to being able to get a 94 or 95 of the Sir version. Since you have a CRX (if that's what it'd be going in) the you should get the cable version anyways and save yourself $400.
