Re: 3800 SC will it fit?

We perform the swap in Atlanta, GA. starting at $3500.00. If you desire to
attempt it yourself, you will need engine, trans, ecu, wiring harness,
cutting torch, vehicle lift, mig-welder, engine dolly, sawz-all, flat and
angle metal stock and tubing. Additionally, you will need to fabricate the
following custom parts: front engine mount, modified right side frame rail,
transmission mount, upper dogbone mounts, heater pipes, exhaust downpipe,
throttle bracket, air intake pipe, wiring harness adapter, etc. You will
need the following new parts: front mount (pusher) cooling fans, 94-98 GA
trans mount, front sway bar, shifter cable and lever, custom burned ecu to
disable theft deterrent, batery relocation kit, etc. You will need to cut a
notch in the right side frame to clear the s/c idle pulley. It is NOT a job
for the DIY'er. Even most experienced technicians would not be able to
complete it without a fabricator close by.

Re: 3800 SC will it fit?

I got an escort thats getting a 5.0 fabricated into it rwd so I have to fabricate the rear end. I think it should take me a year or two with my schedule. Theres a ton of space left over in the engine bay when there fitted right and since Im gonna use the 5.0 from a gran marquise the rear and front should be simpler to fabricate seeing as how the front wheels are almost the same distance apart from the rear wheels on both cars. The other tricky part is cooling it proper enough. I will have to use 2 radiators of the escort size , one in the front like normal and another one in the rear trunk with window intake for the air to pass through (like a ram air radiator instead of fan operated) I may also need to upgrade the water pump to handle all the radiators. Im getting a headache just from thinking about it right now. Its a make or break project.
