drove the car for the first time in a month, and this time with some goodies . . .

Well, after pulling the tranny out of the car and working on it for a month, we finally got it back in and took the car for a test drive tonight. Me and a friend installed the shift kit, high-stall torque converter, and an LSD insert, and also put in a turboxs RFL bov and a blow-through y-pipe, and a custom dual intake. During the test drive, had a major boost leak as one of the intercooler hoses got loose, but it was still enough to test it all out.
The high-stall is incredible, i am able to get off the line soo much quicker (previous 60' is a 2.2), and along with the LSD, well, i haven't fully launched it yet, but possibly tomorrow. We have a leak at the tranny pan which we will take care of tomorrow and will be all set for driving in the city. Also, the shift kits make the shifts OOHHHH SO GOOD, i mean very very crisp, and i can feel the downshifts when i slow up to a stop. Also, the blow through y-pipe looks very pretty and the RFL blow off valve sounds incredible. The car has been collecting dust for the last month while sitting on the jack stands, so i will get pictures of everything after i clean her up.
I will say though, after driving my Z28 for a month without the TT, i realized how much i've missed it. I'm glad she's finally running again, and hopefully soon to take out some new kills. Once i get it retuned, i will take it to the 1/8 mile track here and get new times compared to the old times on the stock tranny to compare. I will do a run at 9 psi (which is what my previous time was on) and then i will get another run in at 14 psi. I will also get a 1/4 mile run in the weekened of July 24th when i go to montgomery for the state 3/S gathering. I will keep ya'll updated.

i bought it used, so i'm not sure how many washers are already in it, but its not leaking, and since its before my MAFT, doesnt hurt performance

i need to get a new engine bay pic and update my sig since my engine bay is a little bit shinier now, i'll do that tomorrow or so

update for the day, i finally have it in my garage, drove it home, it runs great, i love the high-stall and the shift kit, i could feel a slight difference on the LSD insert, but the roads are wet so that didnt help on it. I've still got kinks to work out. I did notice that my turbo whistle is louder with my blow through and dual intakes, and i sent some heads flying with the RFL blow off valve anyways, hopefully i can get some engine bay shots tomorrow

i took her back out on a test drive this morning, gosh i love the RFL lol, anyways, checking for ATF leaks cause i thought i spotted some last night, but it was dark and wet so i couldnt confirm it. I drove a few miles, came back home, looked under the car, none, so thats all set, i just now have to work on cleaning up the engine bay, finding and fixing a boost leak, and re-install a few other things that i took out and never put back in. Anyways, i snapped a couple of pics, the flash makes the blue colors in the engine bay lighter then they actually are because of my garage, and the engine bay is a little messy, but it shows a basic view of my set up.

What do you do with all the used parrts liek that intake in the older pic? I might be interested in some second hand stuff of you have gotten better and thus don't need it.

well, i have two extra intake pipes left over right now, i haven't decided what i'm going to do with them yet. I have the y-pipe, but i has a hole drilled in it and threaded for a custom alcohol injection that i was using with the car, and i still have the intake t-pipe that splits off two both turbos before the turbos. My friend is making me a cheap, but nice looking oil catch can since the t-pipe made it so you can recirculate the oil back into your intake pipes.

We make a lot of trips to home depot lol, intercooler sprayer kit, water/alcohol injection kit, dual intake, oil catch can, we about buy out the place

well, i thought running two intakes would not only look cool, but allow a little bit more air into the turbos creating faster spool up, and i am noticing a quicker spool up between that and the high-stall. I remembered a post from IPO on 3si about his trip to home depot and making his dual intake back when he had his VR-4, so i went to home depot, and picked up a couple of things, and made that.
