Thumbs up opening the space for the FMIC

figured i would just start a new thread

OK... here it is!

i removed the bumper cover and put it up onto 2 stools. i then measured 3/8" of a cut around the whole bottom part [lower mouth if you will]. then i got a Dremel and with a large cutting disc i cut the top corners [picture a sideways D with the stright part up] all the way down to the front of the cover. this was all done from the back side of the cover, cutting the inside [unseen] part. then i flipped it over and cut the lip out from the outside to the inside. after all that was cut away, i went back with the sander tool for the dremel and evened out everything. fairly simple. i did have on safty glasses [i took a disintegrated cutting disc to the cheek!] and a real painters mask on [fumes are eyewatering!]

overall about 2 hours taking my sweet ass time and tweeking on the clean-up sanding. i did lose one of my fog light covers on the freeway because i didn't make sure it was secure after i put the cover back on... lol. i might just say fuck them and dremel out those holes too. who knows

and now the pics! [that is my bro Jesse helping measure it out]
and they are all from my cell phone [i lost the batt charger to my real cam ]

look ma! no bumper!

measureing the cut!

back on!

just a few minutes ago!

you can see the return pipe for the GReddy... it looks sooo much better and WAY more agressive!
