All Motor!
i own a 93 vtec lude and today i've finally decided on going all motor!
i've posted either supercharging or turbocharging my car before and most of you guys agreed on turbocharging. i looked into turbos and realized on how expensive they are and how many things you have to mess with in order to get what you want (u can't just slap a turbo onto your car!). and supercharging...i don't think there are any for my 4th gen. anyways, in my opinion, i think it would be pretty awesome to drive an all motor prelude. i wonder how much power i'll get out of the motor....? |

By all motor he means, built without using a Turbo or Supercharger
If you're willing to spend the money, you can probably get more gains than you would out of FI. Although in that case, your car would be less "streetable" as your whole powerband would be moved all the way up to vtec range. And assuming you go up to 12.0:1 or higher on c/r - you may not be able to run pump gas. Anyway, for a "street" setup - this is what i would do Stage 2 Cams (Skunk2) --- Or JUN Cams if you have the balls/money ("Stage 3") Titanium Valves, Springs, Retainers (Again Skunk2) Darton Sleeves 11.5:1 Pistons (Dunno on this one..JE?) STR or Skunk2 Intake Manifold 70mm Throttle Body SMSP Header Test Pipe 2.25 Catback Piggypack ECU Hours of Dyno Tuning Good Luck

Re: All Motor!
to add:
bore it 20 over weight loss weight loss weight loss pulleys cam gears (if you gonna be dyno tuning, you might as well) and drop the money into a damn good driving school. im not sure what engine you have (h23 maybe?) but the H22 will run 10's all motor (in a civic of course, but hey, thats still wicked fast)

Re: All Motor!
well there you have it, pour in the cash, tear out the seats (and the carpet and the dash and the AC and well, anything else not conducive to running in a straight line) and you could be running tens

It could be running anything. And it could cost anything.

Re: All Motor!
I believe there is a stroker kit available for the h22a. I haven't personally looked into it myself, but I imagine there are sizable gains to be made by increasing displacement.
