Secret compartments

Can anyone recommend or has any idea of where I can go to get secret compartments for my Expedition?

NO I dont plan on transporting narcotics becuase I`m a police officer. I cannot find anyone in my area that does that kind of work legitemately(one who is not locked up). I have a Expedition and a Crown Vic...I have a electronic mini-safe mounted in the trunk of my Vic that can be opended by key or keypad...But I have no place to mount a mini-safe in my Expedition, hence the need for a hide-away comparment better known as a "secret compartment"...I`m thinking someplace near my seat where I can stick my gun/I.D. and not worry about my stuff if my truck gets broken into by the savages in my area.

So you want a place to put a 'mini-safe'??

You could always lift the carpet in the trunk, pull the spare tire and weld some sheet metal to make a 'bucket' and set the thing in there....

Not really a place for one like in a CV...maybe in the centre console between the captains chairs in the back if you have that seating set-up.

Hope you find something!

I was hoping someone some place like the center console compartment or where the loose change/pen pocket is between the console and the dash. I dont know if companies produce the console itself for sale or you just buy materials and do it with schematics/drawings. My Expo is a 2002 with a sunroof.

You may need to make it yourself...that place would work up front if you want it there. Try visiting your Ford dealer and see if anyone in parts or service knows anything about that kind of thing, you may be able to get the console after all, in which case you wouldn't have to dice it up on your own.

I've seen secret compartments put in the deployed passenger air bag compartments, works well and very large. Highway patrol recognizes this area of a vehicle when searching so keep it legal.
