lol, that's what i am saying, but while on the one-hand people say that stereotypes are not valid etc etc... on the other hand stereotypes came from somewhere, and more than a handful are helping to perpetuate them.

Opportunities are available for everyone now, you just need to want to work for it. Unfortunately, where I work, affirmative action is still in place, quietly, so we have "bottom of the barrel-last choice" management. No knowledge, no skills, no experience makes for really bad management.

Affirmative action=bad. I have been called a bigot since i am a country boy. They only group of people i have a problem with are the spanish speaking only people who think i should know how to speak spanish to live in FL. Learn english before yelling at me damn it.(story behind this one)

i am by no means racist, up here in washington, life is very liberal. we all get along, i've got asian friends white friends mexican friends couple friends from baghdad, an east indian buddy, i'm black, my g/f is half southamerican and half white.

there are 2 type's of black people(don't take this completley literal), those who think like malcom x when he first started. and those who think like mlk. those who think like malcom x are the ones who are racist to me. but those who think like mlk who speaks of our generation (i'm 23) growing up with other races and all growing up with eachother and everyone loving everyone. those people are not racist. i've got family who are racist agaisnt my g/f and my girlfriend has family racist agaisnt me. it seems that the older people are alot more racist then the younger generation.
i also grew up in a bad neighborhood with bloods and crips and folks.
and though some of the buddy's i grew up with are ignorant for bieng in gangs, none of them are racist, none of them.
