Question P10 stock head unit - fader&balance don't work

I bought my 96 G20 just over a month ago and all seems to be working
fine except I can't adjust the fader(and balance) on my stock CD/FM-AM head unit(I believe it's a Panasonic - isn't it?).
I've tried to play with the Treble and Bass dials(which are supposed
to also work as Fader and Balance) when pushed In, and
when pushed Out - and they only adjust Treble and Bass.
Anyone has/had the same problem?
Ideas/suggestions?
Thanks in advance.

On my P10 stock head unit, you have to PULL out on the treble and bass knobbies in order to get your fade and balance.

This is, of course, after you push on them to get them to pop out!

I hope I helped!

PULL to adjust other features.

When knob is out, pull further until "click", that will allow you to adjust other features.

It worked, of course...(seen this P10 stuck in snow in Toronto Star?)

Thanks, guys; it worked. Of course.
I could swear I tried pulling the knobs earlier, too.
I guess I wasn't pulling strongly enough for fear of
busting the knobs altogether.
Anyway - I'm a happy camper now with the fader
and balance adjusted just the way I like.
Chalk this one up under "newbie without an owner's
manual" category.
Thanks again guys!

P.S. Anyone in Toronto seen the front page of the Toronto Star
today(Monday Jan 28)? It has a Champagne-coloured P10
stuck in snow - of all places in...Vancouver, which is best known
for its very mild weather(unfortunately I couldn't find the pic in the online
version so I cannot add a hyperlink here. Only in the print version).
The article describes how wacky the weather has been here in the Great White North this winter: Vancouver gets snow and cold temps, whereas we in the central Canada have been getting unusually warm and mild
weather.
Perfect for cruising and some preventive maintenance(I had my 96
rust-proofed by Krown, which is knows as Carwell in the U.S., on
Saturday. The car is going to be dripping the stuff they spray it with for
couple of days, but many people swear by it. I figured I might as well
get it done, too... I plan to keep this baby for a while).
