does anyone here try to make a fast 400m-1/4mi car?

if you do, i have a challenge...
how fast can you make a car?
kicker, you have to buy it.
my best is with the rx7, 10.248
it's all in the launch and gearing...
bring it on!

there are no limitations yet (aside from buying it), i mostly wanted to get interest first.
now that a couple of people have noticed the thread...
how about limiting it to fr cars that cost less than 70k? thus eliminating the viper, vertigo, c5r... etc
i assume this next thing is understood... but no traction control allowed
how's that?

i only use it when i'm racing that city course loaded with turns (special stage 11?) and i can't beat the cpu after trying a couple of times. you know, in a series race or one of the limited cup things... then i bust out the c5r or rx7 race car, etc
i tried the rx7 with tcs last night, i think the best i got (tcs at 10) was 10.6xx.
update! fastest time with rx7 is now 10.242!!

You should try the Pagani Zonda Race Car fully tuned and set so it can beat the Escudo Pikes Peak Version. I've done it honestly! Read

I've had under sub-10 second times with a supra...no tcs...but ill try to do it again tonight and get some solid numbers...

so 70k...is that both mods and car? or just buying the car...because with a 30-40k car you cant do a whole lot...i mean a stage 3 or 4 turbo already breaks the bank lol...

we should have the fastest car for under 100k...that includes all parts...and how about fastest for under 50k and lastly 25k...

under 25k...i wonder if you can break 13s for that much...lol...car = ~12-19k and then only 6-13k for mods...

yeah, that's good, but the goal is to be fast with a car you can buy, f1 cars have to be won
