out of the ones you mentioned, i think the only one that people didn't/don't know about is teh OMNI.

There were also the early 90's Turbo GPs (TGP) (3.1L turbo)

You would be surpirsed. Most people know about the Turbo Daytonas more than any of the other Turbo Dodges and Chryslers and even those aren't that well known.

most people dont know about the shelby shadows which is why when my friend races mustangs in his shadow that runs 12.8s they ask great questions like "do you have NOS in there or something?".

It is also a myth that the t-types where not as powerful as the GN's. The fact is that t-types were quicker than a GN. They had the same drivetrain but the t-types usually did not have all the options like a GN did so they were lighter. and in 1987 they droped the t-type name and called it a Turbo T.

The following cars had the turbo buick drive train.

'84-87 Grand National
'84-86 T-type
87 Turbo T
87 GNX (547 made)
89 Turbo Trans Am. (First car to pace the indy 500 with the only modifications being strobe lights and a indy 500 decal package.)

Turbo Buick history accually goes back to like 1978 they had a turbo carbed 3.8 that put out a whopping 180 HP.


Another not so known is the SVO mustang.
and the Merkur (European SVO mustang.)

Oldsmobile built the Starfire back in the 60's with a 394 with turbo and water injection. I believe this option was offered less than a full model year because of reliability problems. I actually saw one for sale a couple years ago.
