New A-Class
When Mercedes launched the A-Class 6 years ago I never really liked it because it did'nt feel like a 'real' Mercedes. It lacked the solidarity and robustness of a big Merc, but it still looked excellent. Mercedes has recently released pictures of the all-new version to be launched later this year. It looks sensational, it comes in a practical five-door and excellent looking new three-door hatchback body(with a coupe like roof). It is 232mm longer and 42mm wider, increasing interior space by 97mm, illimenating the need for a ungainly LWB model. It also shares major conponents with the new Mitsubishi Colt and Smart ForFour which will ensure that it is more competent in the supermini market. There will also be a AMG flagship version which will use a new 2.0-Turbo which will produce 193bhp, exactly what is needed after the luke-warm A-Class EVOLUTION. Mercedes as also tryed very hard to iron out all of the first A-Class's quality and reliability issues, with a far better quality interior and the addition of Japanese engineering to ensure reliability. I think Mercedes is on to a winner with this model, all they need now is to get the pricing right.

She is the new voice and face for the new Mercedes A-Class but there was fierce battles behind the scenes before she was actually selected. Apparently many Mercedes officals were keener on Anastasia, but was deemed too old. So(younger) Christina was chosen to front the new car to the cars youthful target audience.

The new 5 door is nice, but the 3 door is utterly stunning! I beg to differ that the old A class Evo is luke warm, It was much better than the 190 and there was nothing else that really rivaled it. But still, 193bhp sounds good. The new 200 cdi sounds just as good. More tourque than the petrol, and it still managas 145bhp, which is as much as the old petrol EVO. This looks like a winner.
