87 s-10 tire size

i'm helping a friend of mine fix up her truck. it's an 87 2wd s-10. there are no current modifications to the suspension, etc. anyone know the biggest tire size she could get without a lift? also, if she did a lift, what size tire could she get with a small lift? i am partial to a suspension lift but i take mine off road some. she won't really be doing that much so wouldn't it be just as good to get a body lift to minimize cost? all she wants is for it to sit up a little higher and look better.

225/70R15 look real good on a 2wd but you could also fit a 235/70R15 which is a 28" tall tire.

A 2" suspension lift can be had for fairly cheap. This will allow room for 235/75R15 or a 30" tire. Atleast that is what most manufacturers will say.

You could also install a 2 or 3" body lift.
