Wierd Tranny Shift
My Tranny is Good But I noticed at around 55 When i gradually increase speed the car didnt downshift, but if i floor it, it will downshift n change gears, I was looking in the owners manuel i got from Online and it says, "If it seems your not shifting gears as you increase speed somthing maybe wrong with your Transaxle System Sensor." Anyone know what the real Name for This would be cause i dont thats the right name because it doesnt show up on a part lookup?

Re: Wierd Tranny Shift
If you gradually increase the speed, eventually (if you get the pedal to/near the floor before the vehicle speed is too high), the transmission should downshift. Flooring it will cause a computer-commanded downshift because the computer sees the rapid change in the throttle position sensor. I also routinely blip my throttle pedal to cause the computer to drop the converter lockup clutch (without downshifting a gear) when I need just a little more torque. From what you describe, I don't see that you have a problem.

Re: Wierd Tranny Shift
Attempt At Clarification-"around 55 When i gradually press farther down on the petal the car doesnt downshift and it will increase speed VERY SLOWLY, and if u keep pushing it it wont go faster but increase speed VERY SLOWLY , I mean im 3/4 of the way down and its like im still holding the pedal at 1/4 the way down.after this point im almost flooring it but if i floor it, it will downshift n change gears and increase speed normally"
