Re: 2002 pk3 key
All Montana's I've done only require 1 key to program. I've heard of some in Canada require 2. What's the first digit in your vin #?
There's equipment out there that will Clone your key. Basically it copies the code from your original key and programs it onto a read/write chip in the duplicate key, and requires no on board programming. Most automotive locksmiths will have this equipment http://www.hightechcarkeys.com |

My key is on the way from ebay. I bought it for 14.99 us. I will attempt to program it as directed in the manual (i only have one master key however and not the two that the Canadian vans need)
As soon as i get it and cut it, i will let you know how it goes. |

Re: 2002 pk3 key
I got my key today from mylocksmith on ebay. I got it cut at a hardware store, followed the programming instructions even though it is a Canadian van it worked.
I saved $80. Canadian. Thought everyone should know |

PK3 Key-Canada
hi..when i bought my 2001 Montana last year I only got one key with it also.I had another key cut at the local dealers (cost $72.00) and programmed it myself. The owners manual tells you how to do it. I had to start my van with the Original key, then turn it off and insert the new key into the ignition within 7-10 seconds . I had to turn the key on without starting the vehicle. It works fine .I'm in Ontario,Canada and the dealer insisted I would need both keys to program a new one...I think its a money grab. The Owners manual gives instructions on how to program the key properly and says you can program up to 4 keys this way.
