quick question on coils

Just installed come arospeed coils on my car, and Im pretty happy with them except for the fact that when raised all the way, the front is still lower than stock springs. Is it safe to take the top locking ring off the threads and just have the lowering ring on the threads? I can get maybe another 2 inches if thats possible.

Thanks.

Re: quick question on coils

Not to sounds stupid or diss you in anyway, but when people put lowering coils on, they want their car lower than stock springs. First of all are these lowering coils or coil overs? Which nut are you talkin about? The one ontop of the strut or the coil over if indeed thats what you have? If you take the top one off the strut you are going to get hurt and cause alot of damage. Answer those and i'll see if i can help ya out further..
