hook up question

i have a head unit with only 2 pre-outs (one pair). i just got a 4 chan. amp and 2 10's... my question is the amp has 2 sets of pre-out slots and if i want to run both subs do i need to have have wires running into both sets of preouts on the amp? or is there any way i can bridge the subs using only 1 set of the preouts

Re: hook up question

you could hook up right rca to right on ch1 and left rca to left on ch2 and then hook up +spkr wire to + on ch1 and-spkr wire to - on ch2 to get most pwr. then just jump 2nd spkr off 1st spkr.you shld follow amp instructions if you have them though

I don't know what that was trying to say....

Anyway, just get 2 pairs of y-splitters. That will let you split your R rca into 3 R rcas, and your L into 3 L. Then just feed each pair into each amp

some amps only need one input per bridged pair ... others require both. The manual should explain it
