Jdm SOHC ZC with D16z6 head?
Anyone know if there will be a piston to valve clearance problems with the JDM SOHC ZC(non VTEC) with the D16z6 VTEC head? I *heard* that the jdm sohc zc has dome top pistons similar to the dohc version, therefore may have a piston to valve clearance with VTEC engaged. Anyone heard of anyone doing this? I need to find out because we are planning on doing this mini-me swap this thursday on a 93 del sol.

Re: Jdm SOHC ZC with D16z6 head?
i think you heard right, when the vtec is engaged you could potentially have a problem.....just save yourself alot of work....vtec is nothing but alot of hype anyway....its kinda like a turbo the size of a snail that for some reason takes till 5500rpm to work...hehe
if he sold the head and spent the money to get head work done to his sohc zc he would prolly gain more power anyway |
