Best engine?...

Besides the 426's and the other Hemis...what is the best engine (No more then 8 cylinders) that I can get?

Sorry...I should have clarified...whats the best engine for drag racing and whats the best engine for just pure power?

I am sure the folks at Pratt & Whitney can line something up for you....
Otherwise the best engines come from aftermarket engine manufacturers like Keith Black and World Products who make engines based on regular car engine designs but with many improvements built in.

well if we go by pure wins, the Olds DRCE block in 500 inches (limit for top fuel) has the most wins of any motor ever....

pure power? Im kinda partial to Rolls Merlins....

not really a specific engine, but im partial to straight sixes, as seen in z cars, bmw m3, skylines...

the top fuel dragsters and funny cars are all based on the chrysler 426 hemi, so if thats your game, do that route.
